At MASISA, all our values are lived with the same passion. This time, one of the most prominent is Customer Orientation, because it’s what connects us—inside and out—with our clients, who are also part of the business that sustains us.
In Caracas, the commercial team welcomed Ángel Pérez, Wood Operations Manager, and Yeifer Rangel, Wood Operations Lead, to jointly address a request from Wood, one of the country’s leading wooden packaging manufacturers. Their concern was about the astringent odors in the wood and how this was affecting both production processes and product commercialization. The visit provided valuable insight into Wood’s operations and their specific requirements.
Alberto Fandiño, National Sales and Marketing Manager, explained that the purpose of the visit was not only to support the client, but also to bring Andinos closer to those who use their products. “It’s crucial for the industry to understand in detail how our products are being used, and the importance MASISA holds for them in this case, as a supplier of kiln-dried lumber for wooden packaging (pallets), whether for local use or export”, he added.
“Depending on availability, we also make visits to other lumber clients. For example, we met with Maderera Corinsa, who shared some of the products the market is demanding and that they hope MASISA will be able to produce”, Fandiño reported.
For the Andinos team, the visit was both timely and productive. “Getting a close look at our clients’ operations and their needs allows us to truly connect and understand how the quality of our wood directly impacts what they deliver as a final product. That’s why our commitment grows stronger each time”, explained Pérez.
“I saw a team aligned, united, and focused on the same objective. I’m grateful to Luis Miguel Franco and Jorge Adrián for their support and for being a fundamental pillar in strengthening ties with our clients”, highlighted the Wood Operations Manager. He also emphasized the importance of this initiative as one that drives us to continue listening to and meeting the needs of the national market. Just weeks earlier, the Boards Operations team—specifically Production—had also visited several of their clients for the same purpose.
