Masisa® Melamine Boards: designs that enhance the functionality and elegance of a purposeful kitchen

CASACOR 2024, the most important exhibition of architecture, design, art and landscaping in the Americas, had as its motto "Now is a gift". In this context, Purposeful Kitchen was presented, an 86 m² space developed by designer Kathy Cárdenas and architect Caroline Feldman at the Escuela Climática de Varones del Puericultorio Augusto Pérez Araníbar, in Lima, Peru. Conceived as a sophisticated, functional and warm environment, the kitchen invites to live the present from the senses, giving life to a space that creates stories and connects design with emotion.

To achieve this atmosphere, Masisa melamine panels were used. The Bonfire design, with a deep wood tone, natural texture and semi-matte finish, was key in the main furniture, providing elegance and character. In the chef's studio, designed as a creative inspiration area, the Santorini and Vison Texstone designs were incorporated, whose combination provides visual continuity, warmth and sophistication. Santorini stands out for its light tones and subtle woody texture; Vison Texstone for its finish that blends mineral and textile. Together, they reinforce the project's narrative and its balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The choice of Masisa melamine designs allowed for a coherent visual unity while providing durable, easy-to-maintain surfaces with a contemporary aesthetic. Ideal for highly demanding spaces like the kitchen, they stand out for their high-performance technology: they are stain-resistant, antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial, with an effectiveness rate of over 99%. They also feature scratch-resistant properties, precise cutting, responsible production, and a finish that guarantees durability without compromising design.
