CASACOR 2024, the most important architecture, design, art and landscaping exhibition in the Americas, had as its motto "Now is a gift". In this context, The Day Care Center: Where dreams dwell, was presented, a space developed by architects Cinthya Arana and Nube Alfaro at the Escuela Climática de Varones del Puericultorio Augusto Pérez Araníbar, in Lima, Peru. The project is inspired by the story of two children in the year 2100 who, upon hearing stories of their ancestors, travel in their dreams to the past and discover, through mythological beings, how to live in harmony with their environment. Thus, the space invites to reconnect with the Andean roots of Peru and transmit, from childhood, the value of caring for the planet, culture and learning.

To give shape to this dreamlike story, Glaciar Green and Pacific melamine designs were used, essential to build an environment that connects with nature, memory and play. Glaciar Green represents the relationship with the natural environment and was applied in areas dedicated to learning and sensory exploration. Pacific, in its blue tone, refers to the apus, sacred mountains of the Andean cosmovision, integrating depth and serenity. These panels not only allowed the development of functional furniture, but also gave shape to organic pieces such as cactus and hills, which bring movement to the place. It is an environment that celebrates childhood. The entire space invites climbing, climbing and playing, stimulating interaction through design and experience.
