Masisa is the leading company in the production and trade of wood boards for furniture and interior architecture in Latin America. It counts on its major forestry assets which grant it the raw material needed. Masisa "s value proposal is in line with being a reliable trademark, close to its public and moreover, predicting and fulfilling the markets needs through the innovation of products and services, and operating in a responsible way towards society and environment.

This company relies on its 13 industrial complexes for the production of boards. They are located in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Mexico; all of which have been awarded ISO certifications 14.001 and OHSAS 18.001. At present Masisa is building an MDF plant in Cabrero, Chile, which will have a yearly capacity of 340 thousand/ m3 and will mainly supply the external market.

Masisa also counts on its three other Units working synergically along with its main Board Unit: Forestry, Solid Wood and Retail, which allow for the creation of value and a greater competitiveness for the company.

The Forestry Unit has a patrimony made up of 241 thousand hectares of certified FSC plantations spread all over Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela. These forests play a very important role in Masisa’s value proposal, since fibre supply is allowed in the long term according to the growth strategy of the unit in the countries where it operates.

The Wood Unit processes some part of the forestry resources so as to create products with added value such as mouldings and doors, and elaborates sub products such as chips and sawdust which serve as supplies for the manufacture of boards.

The Retail Unit is constantly in search of boosting and improving its distribution net called Placacentro. Placacentros is a network of stores operating under the same trademark and patterns. These stores have all the necessary products and services for small or medium carpentry business. At present, Masisa has over 300 stores in Latin America.
