WHAT IS IT?

It’s a particle wood board joined by ureic adhesive, grouping the most important advantages of particle boards: big dimensions, different thicknesses, smooth and homogenous surfaces, and standardized qualities according to DIN’s normas for particle boards.

¿WHICH ARE IT’S MORE COMMON USES?

In construction, Placa Masisa is recommended as a coating for partitions, walls and floors in areas not exposed to humidity, as well as in commercial facilities, props and stages scenes. In furniture, as an integral part of furniture, and parts and pieces for its later covering.

YOUR PROJECTS FINISHINGS ARE NOT A PROBLEM ANYMORE.

Placa Masisa is worked with usual wood tools and procedures and allows anykind of finishing and completions. It can be cut, sawed, perforated, nailed, screwed, sanpapered and it’s sides can be brushed. The tools must have enough quality to work on hard woods.Circular movement tools as saws must be high speed (3.000 to 5.000rpm)

BEFORE WORKING WITH PLACA MASISA, PLEASE CONSIDER:

Joints of expansion:

In the application in floors, ceilings and partitions, you must consider joints of expansion of at least 5mm between boards and 6mm between boards and other structures.This joints might be left at sight, cover them with junctions cover or with any kind of filling that dries elastic. You mustn’t fill it with rigid material of with one that hardens once applied.

Spacing between fixations:

The fixation, nails or screws, must be distanced at the most 50cm between one and the other in the board’s interior, and 30cm in the perimeter.

Spacing between support:

To manage and adecuated solution for the spacing between the supports, you must consider the resistance between the board’s flexion and the requirements the supports are put under.
